5/97 Clock, Dartmouth Square


Clock. 1912. Cast-iron. A column with Ionic capital stands on a base
of square plan and supports an entablature, the cornice of which forms
the base of the upper stage. This has circular glazed clock faces on
four sides, each with a swag under and pediment over . The top is domed.
The column is inscribed: "Councillor J Archibald Kenrick was Mayor
November 1912 and presented this block to the Borough".
