Warehouses. Circa 1840 - 52. Brick with hipped slate roofs. Built in two
blocks linked by lower section which formerly housed a causting plant. South
side, facing Birmingham Level of Birmingham Canal, of three storeys above
battered brick base. The western (left hand) block is of 12 bays and has
windows with segmental heads. The eastern block is of 15 bays. In the seventh
bay there is a blocked opening with round head to the lower storey. The first
floor window of the right hand bay is blocked. Hartley Bridge (qv) adjoins
to the right. Interior: floors carried on timber beams with central row of
cast iron columns. Roofs have bolted queen-post trusses.
