Former public house, now private house. Late C17 and later. Brick with
steeply pitched pantiled roof. South block is two storeyed and attic. 2
bay facade with C20 doorway to right in original opening. Sash windows with
glazing bars under gauged segmental arches. Storeys separated by plain brick
string course, repeated at attic level on south gable wall. This gable has
2 blocked windows, parapet with brick tumbling and internal stack. 2 small
attic windows. Longer single storey range abuts to north with C20 doorcase
under pediment and Gibbs surround. Segmental arches over sash windows with
glazing bars and second plain door at north end. One gabled dormer with
casement windows. Central stack. Further single flint and brick bay to
north. Interior has panelled parlour in south range and north range has
hall with fireplace and C18 ceiling beams. Staircase abuts stack.
