Booton Hall.

Country house. Mid C18 remodelling of early C17 house. Red brick, hipped
pantile roof. Two storeys and attics. L-shaped. Sash windows with glazing
bars, irregularly spaced. Off-centre entrance with open-pedimented door
surround on Tuscan pilasters. Semi-circular fanlight over door. Moulded
brick eaves cornice : eaves raised on west and south facades. Evidence of
blocked and altered openings. Three cruciform chimney stacks with moulded
brick bases, much rebuilt. Remains of original shaped gable on north wall.
Hipped staircase bay in north-east angle. One-storey gabled service wing;
L-shaped, on north side with axial chimney stack. Good late C16/early C17
door and frame in north wall. Coped red brick boundary wall to garden on
east side.
