12/83 Corner Cottage and


House, now divided. Early C16, divided and floored mid C17. Timber framed
with rendered wattle and daub, roughcast to front. Pantiled roof. Open hall
plan now altered in form reminiscent of a Wealden House. Brick plinth. 2
storeys. First floor jetties to right and left. 3 doors and 3 C19 casements
to ground. 4 casements to first floor C19 or C20. Gabled roof. Rebuilt
ridge stack and west internal gable stack. East gable with protuding wall
plate and drip shelf at eaves line. 2 outshuts to rear and C20 conservatory.
Bridging beam flooring hall with chamfer and tongue stops. Thin scantling.
Winder staircase by stack. Renewed roof.
