7/127 Eccles Hall

House, now school. c.1700. Whitewashed brick with slate roofs. 2 storeys
and attic in 7 bays, the centre 3 rebated. Additional early C18 bay to left.
Brick plinth. Central door behind C20 greenhouse. Sash windows with glazing
bars under gauged skewback arches to each bay. Moulded brick string course
at first and second storeys. Central returned parapet with plain rebated
panels between shaped gables of flanking bays. Gables with string course
and sash windows retaining glazing bars. Gabled roofs with central shallow
pitched gabled dormer. Large C19 dentilledridge stack. Rear also with shaped
gables and 2 storey late C19 addition.
