Country House. c.1690 with early C19 additions.
Colourwashed brick with slate roof. 5 bay west front in 2 storeys and dormer attic. Sash windows to each bay under gauged skewback arches. String course between floors. Dentilled timber eaves cornice. 3 shallow pedimented dormers with sash windows retaining glazing bars. Roof gabled but hipped to south c.1800 to contain 2 storey addition set forward from original range. Ground floor porch in form of Venetian window below stepped brick string course. First floor sash window with glazing bars flanked by one blind window left and right.
South front obscured by porch bay and one storey gabled range of c.1815 with tripartite sashes and glazing bars in irregular bays. Double stepped external stacks to south gable of original house partly visible with blind round-headed niches.
East front has central half-glazed C20 door under gauged skewback arch and 4 late C20 sash windows to ground floor also under gauged skewback arches. Moulded brick string course interrupted to allow central first floor sash window to extend lower than 4 flanking sashes, all with early C18 ovolo glazing bars and gauged skewback arches. Eaves cornice and 3 dormers as west front. North gable wall with 2 stepped external stacks with blind niches. Evidence of blocked windows, one first floor sash with glazing bars and oval attic light.
Interior has early C18 closed string dog-leg staircase through 3 storeys with iron twist balusters and heavy moulded hand-rails. Square newels and upper newel pendants.
Contemporary walled garden of brick abuts north gable wall enclosing square lawn. Summerhouse in north return gabled with large shaped gable to house.
