Milestone. Circa late C18. Limestone. Wedge-shaped on plan and
with rounded top; about 1 metre tall. Each side has recessed
full-width panel inscribed NORWICH 15 MILES and ATTLEBORO 5
MILES in upper case sancerif letters. Above the panels a square
recessed indent with remains of rivet at centre. The Norwich New
Buckenham Road was turnpiked in 1772.
