4/9 Church Farmhouse,
East Lexham

Farmhouse. C16 or C17 timber frame infilled with brick in 1752 (according
to datestone on south gable). Extended in C19. Timber frame, brick,
re-used ashlar and flint with pantiled roofs. 2 storeys with attic.
2 storey porch of re-used asblar and flint (dog-tooth moulding on one
fragment of ashlar). 3 bays of sash windows with glazing bars and glazed
door beneath skewback arches with cambered soffits. One ground floor
facade window and north ground floor gable-end window tripartite. 2 gabled
extensions to rear. C19 crow-stepped gables. Gable-end stack and axial
stack with Victorian decorative shafts.
