LITTLE DUNHAM
Gardener's Cottage 340 metres south-south west of Dunham Lodge

Former gardener's cottage. Circa 1785.
Brick with gault brick dressing and slate roof. Square in plan with later side extension. 2 storeys and all openings 2-centred in Gothic style. 3-bay entrance facade. Central front door with a blind and painted 2-centred fanlight and a blind and painted quatrefoil above. Flanked by pair of tall windows with only each lower third glazed. East facade with pair of similar yet fully glazed windows with flush gault brick rusticated dressings. Flush gault brick rusticated quoins and corbelled-out dentilated gault brick cornices.
Pyramidal shallow-pitched roof with central stack.
