Dovecote to Rougham Hall

Dovecote. c.1690 by Hon. Roger North. Coursed flint with brick angle pilasters and thatched
roofs. Octagonal in plan on the exterior, circular on the interior. One doorway and one 2-light
mullion window. Conical roof and a ball finial. Interior filled with approx 936 brick nesting
boxes. The dovecote is fully described in North's treatise 'Of Building' now in British Museum.
