Farmhouse. Mid C18.
Tuck-pointed brick with slate roof. Single pile with later continuous outshut beneath catslide roof. 3 storeys and 5 bays of sash windows with glazing bars beneath skewback arches having raised stucco keystones. Shorter top storey. Slightly advanced centre bay with curious porch, mainly C19 and early C20, yet retaining C18 pair of fluted Ionic columns with parts of the original capitals - probably freestanding originally. These now carry a curved gable with swept corrugated iron roof. C20 glazed porch entrance and pair of C19 lateral sash windows with semicircular heads. Arched front doorway with semicircular fanlight with tracery. Hipped main roof and pair of stacks on rear wall.
Very fine well stair with turned balusters, carved tread-ends and large plaster Rococo ceiling rose above well. Plaster modillion cornice in hall.
