9/10000 Mill Farmhouse

House. Late C16/early C17 with later alterations. Timber-flame later encased in brick with pantile
roof and brick ridge and left end projecting stacks. Originally through-passage plan. 2 ranges, that
to right slightly lower and the parlour end of the original house. 2 storeys; 4-window range in all
of C20 windows and 2-light casements over 3-light and 2-light casements. Entrance in centre of
lefthand range in position of through passage. 2 doors to other range. 2 lean-tos to rear with
catslide roofs. INTERIOR. Timber frame mostly obscured but wall plates of heavy scantling
visible together with most of the jowled posts. Some tie beams remain but remainder of roof is
probably C18.
