TM 08 SW SOUTH LOPHAM BLO' NORTON ROAD

6/99 Noddle Farmhouse

Farmhouse. Mid C17. Timber framed with rendered wattle and daub infill,
partly replaced by brick and breeze block. Pantiled roof, black glazed to
front. 2 storeys and attic. Central panelled door and 2 sash windows each
floor of 1983. Bell-based gabled roof and ridge stack over door. Large 1983
rear outshut and late C20 fenestration. Interior timber frame intact. West
ground floor room with bridging beam of 2 sunk quadrant mouldings with raised
diamond stops. One 4-light ovolo mullioned window with diamond section
subsidiary mullions. Further ground floor bridging beam with
chamfers and diamond stud and tongue stops. Second 4-light mullioned window
as before in first floor north room. Roof of principals, collars, 2 tiers
of butt purlins and curved windbracing.
