Farmhouse. Circa early C17 with C19 alterations. Timber framed,
faced in red brick at front, roughcast at rear, weatherboarded
and brick gable end. Pantile roof with gabled ends. Brick axial
and gable end stacks. Plan: 3-room plan with entrance lobby in
front of axial stack which has back-to-back fireplaces heating
centre and left rooms; the chamber above left room is jettied out
at gable end. Smaller room at right end has gable-end stack but
might have been originally unheated. Unheated outshut behind left
end is possibly integral. Exterior: 2 storeys. Asymmetrical 3-
window SE front. C19 3-light casements, ground floor with
transoms and cambered arches with keyblocks. Similar arch to
doorway to left of centre with glazed and panelled door. SW gable
end first floor jettied with remains of jetty brackets. At rear
NW small casements; centre window of outshut is circa early C17
moulded mullion window possibly reused. Interior LH room has
boxed-in cross-beam and C20 chimneypiece has chamfered cross-beam
and C18 or C19 chimneypiece. Smaller room on right has chamfered
axial beam and small fireplace with C20 range. Some wall-posts
are exposed on ground floor and timber framing exposed in
outshut.
