House. Mid C17 and later.
Brick in English bond with French pantile roof. Brick and flint plinth. Single bay plan with later side addition. 2 storeys and cellar. North facade with doorway opposite gable-end stack. Door with moulded cover strips. One 2-light and one 3-light chamfered mullion windows. Row of 11 small shallow niches with arched heads beneath eaves: probably former pigeon nesting boxes. C18 dentil cornice. Nest gable-end with 2 original window openings with stuccoed moulded brick pediments and modern 5-light windows. Gable rebuilt to shallow pitch. Traces of diaper pattern in black headers to both sides of first floor window. South facade with 2 original large window openings with moulded brick pediment to ground floor window.only. Modern 5-light frames. Ovolo-moulded 2-light mullion window opposite stack. East gable-end projects beyond line of gable resembling a staged buttress. Rebuilt gable. Modern extensions to this gable-end and to south.
Interior. Several original doorways with ogee and nicked chamfer stops. Winding stair beside stack formerly leading to both cellar and attic. One ovolo-moulded spinal bridging joist with ogee and nicked chamfer stops. Fireplace with cambered bressumner. Cellar takes up the full bay and was formerly lit by 3 splayed windows.
