Former farmhouse. C17 and later. Brick in English bond. Plaintile roof
to main block. Long main block with a C17 2-storey non-contemporary block
to rear with C19 attached extensions. 2 storeys with attic. Facade with
extensively patched brickwork and irregular fenestration of 6 3-light C19
chamfered mullion and transom windows. One boarded door and one C19 panelled
door with simple moulded doorcase. Later dentil cornice. 3 C19 gabled
dormers with wavy barge boards. One off-centre axial stack. Crow-stepped
gables and rectangular hood moulds to gable windows. Rear wall with one
re-used 5-light hollow chamfered mullion window. Rear block with sawtooth
cornice and hipped roof. C19 canted bay to one side and one re-used window
to other side with an early metal casement with spring catch. Metal railings
to rear yard with spear teminals. Winding stair beside stack with original
treads to attic only. Plain chamfered bridging joists. Original butt purlin
