6/28 Yew Tree Farmhouse.
- II

Farmhouse. Early C18 and later. Brick with some chequer pattern. Roof
of modern concrete tiles. 2 storeys probably with attic. 8 bays of original
window openings with modern 2-light mullion and transom windows. Skewback
arches to ground floor openings. C19 part glazed panelled front door with
simple reeded doorcase. Plain platband. Gable-end stacks. Southern stack
corbelled-out from first floor level. 6 blocked windows to west gable end,
2 open and 2 blocked to east. Metal tie-ends in west gable form initials
I.A. Gabled stair outshut to rear with tumbling-in.
