3/17 Mill House
2/10/81 II

Miller's house and remains of mill. Early C19 with mid to late C19 addition.
Colourwashed brick with black and red pantile and slate roofs. Late C19 mill
of which part of one wall survives. T plan, the cross wing being the late
C19 addition. The former mill extended directly from the original wing
2 storeys. Original wing of 3 bays of sash windows with glazing bars beneath
skewback arches with cambered soffits. Front door in cross wing with semi-
circular arch of 2 orders containing a fanlight. 3 sash windows with glazing
bars beneath skewback arches adjacent. Surviving mill wall contains some
cast iron window frames. One room of house contains some re-used Cl7
panelling.
