Former farmhouse. Probably late C16 with a late C17 brick facing. C20 alterations.
Timber frame faced with brick except for parts of side wing. Pantile roofs. Central porch and single forward-projecting side wing suggesting an intended E plan. 2 storeys with attic. Central 2-storey porch with rebuilt gable. Semicircular headed entrance contained within a rectangular opening with chamfered reveals. Part glazed semicircular headed panelled door. Sash window with glazing bars above. Chamfered reveals of original long mullion window still visible to sides. 4 symmetrically positioned late C20 4-light casement windows of discordant design. 2 fossilized skewback arches. Side wing with a returned crow-stepped brick gable-end with stack. Small ovolo-moulded 2-light mullion window in southern return of gable-end. Rendered timber frame to first floor of facade. 2 3-light late C20 windows, 2 doorways and one re-used 7-light mullion window. Small gabled dormer window. Rear gable-end with apparent tie and arched brace. One 5-light mullion window to rear of main block. Blind sloping dormer behind stack probably accommodating stair. Central axial stack to main block and front gable-end stack to side wing. Later lean-tos to rear.
