9/22 Wood Farmhouse

Farmhouse. C17 with later additions. Primitive wing rendered timber frame;
other parts rendered and colourwashed brick. Pantile roofs. Small taller
original block extended to side and rear. An early C19 pile subsequently
added to rear of side extension. Original block of 2 storeys with attic.
Gable-end has one Rash window with glazing bars and an C18 2-light gable
window with metal casement and some leaded glazing. Facade has a C19 flat
roofed porch opposite stack (formerly gable-end) with a crenellated parapet,
pointed side windows and a panelled door. One C19 3-light casement window
to ground floor and one earlier 2-light window above porch with metal case-
ment. Lower 2-storey side extension with 5 3-light C19 casement windows.
Rear pile with 2 first floor sash windows with glazing bars, one modern
window and one 2-light ovolo-moulded mullion window with glazing bars.
Mutilated clasped purlin roof-to original block.
