Butcher's shop and dwelling. Early C18 house with mid C19 shop. C20
refurbishment. Brick with black header chequer pattern to early part. Black
pantile roofs. 2 storeys with attic. Earlier block. South facade with
irregular fenestration consisting of, at ground floor, one late C18 3-light
mullion and transom window beneath a skewback arch with cambered soffit,
one similar window with segmental arch, one narrow original blocked window
beneath a skewback arch and one C20 window. Moulded brick platband and at
first floor one sash window with glazing bars and 2 C20 windows. Sawtooth
cornice. North facade also with moulded brick platband and sawtooth cornice.
C19 off-centre panelled door beneath an original skewback arch. 2 other
original skewback arches at ground floor, one blocked, the other with a
C20 sash window with glazing bars. At first floor 2 C18 sash windows with
glazing bars. C20 sloping dormer. Contemporary former stair outshut adjacent
with one original doorway beneath a skewback arch and one C20 sash window
with glazing bars. C18 lean-to extension to west side. Shop side extension
probably represents the part demolition of original block. Facade of 3
bays with 2-storeyed canted bays to either side of entrance. Sash windows
with glazing bars at first floor and single vertical glazing bars at ground
floor. Modern door beneath a C19 skewback arch with cambered soffit. Gable
with tumbling-in and a 2-centred central window.
