TF 70 SE GOODERSTONE

11/8A Warren Farmhouse

Farmhouse on Hilborough Hall estate. Dated 1845 in gault brick on north
facade. Broken flint with gault brick dressings. Slate roof. Gothick
style. Square in plan with projecting octagonal turrets at each corner
and to the corners of the 2-storey porch. 2 storeys. Each facade of 3
bays of sash windows, originally with glazing bars, beneath skewback arches
and plain rectangular hood moulds. Several later sash windows with single
vertical glazing bars. 3-course platband and dentil cornices. Crenellated
corner turrets. Entrance facade to south. 2-storey porch with 4-centred
entrance arch containing a glazed tripartite door frame in Gothic style.
Ogee arch to first floor window with a 2-light Y-traceried frame. Stepped
gable above. flipped roof with central stacks.
