GV II

Former stables, coach house and attached gate posts. Early C19. Gault brick
with slate roofs. Rear walls in red brick. 3 blocks arranged symmetrically
around an open-sided courtyard. East block former stables with 3-centred
central archway flanked by 2 pairs of windows with glazing bars beneath
skewback arches with cambered soffits. South block slightly taller with one
segmental archway, one window with glazing bars beneath a skewback arch with
cambered soffit and one doorway. West block with 3 3-centred archways with
raised stone keystones and 2-leaf boarded doors. Boarded door and 2-light
casement window beneath skewback arches with cambered soffits to side. Hipped
roofs. Gateway attached to north side of west block. Brick piers with ashlar
cornice and ball finials. Included for group value.
