13/30 The Lodge


Lodge. Circa 1830. Probably by J.C. Buckler. Brick. Roof not visible.
2 storeys. Pair of polygonal angle turrets to facade with a central 4-centred
doorway beneath a rectangular hood mould. 2 loops and 2 small square windows
in angle turrets with chamfered reveals. Niche with statue above doorway.
Moulded brick arched corbel tables and crenellated parapet. 4 2-light mullion
and transom windows to rear beside a large blocked archway. 2 end stacks
with pairs of angled shafts. Later addition to east.
