Church of All Saints

I

Redundant parish church. Medieval and later.
Flint with ashlar and some brick dressings. Windows protected by corrugated iron shutters. Plaintile and corrugated tile roofs. Round western tower; aisled nave with south porch; chancel with vestry to north. C12 tower with C14 bell stage. Early Perpendicular west window of 2 lights. Original first floor loop window. Octagonal bell stage with alternating blind and open bell openings of 2 lights with mouchettes and super mullions. South aisle C19 with 3 2-light traceried windows and one of 3 lights. North aisle with restored tracery to north and west and a C14 3-light cusped Y-traceried east window. Chancel with 2 restored 2-light windows to south, one to north and a restored 4-light reticulated east window. Fragments of C12 chevron and C14 or C15 blind tracery re-set in south aisle east wall.
Interior. C12 tower arch with nook shafts and arris roll. C14 3-bay arcades of quatrefoil piers with intermediate rolls supporting wave moulded arches of 2 orders. Chancel arch in similar style. Former eastern chapel to south aisle with one surviving respond showing stiff leaf capitals and a moulded arch springing. Plain octagonal font. No furniture.
