Former rectory. 1772 (Glebe terrier) and later. Brick with black pantile
roofs. Originally T plan with principal block flanked by pavilions, to the
south. Added pile to east of c1800. 2 storeys. South facade of 5 bays of
sash windows with glazing bars beneath skewback arches. Sills of ground floor
windows at ground level. Slightly advanced centre bay with pediment. Renewed
moulded timber cornices. Single storeyed pavilion to each side with single
window openings consisting of a sash window with glazing bars to west and
a double glazed plastic imitation to east. Steeply pitched hipped roofs.
End stacks to main block. West facade of 4 bays of sash windows with glazing
bars within painted moulded architraves. Ground floor windows with cornices
and pulvinated friezes in addition. Shaped modillion eaves cornice. Angle
between main block and west facade filled with a C20 porch extension re-using
a late C18 2-leaf panelled door and doorcase. Semicircular fanlight with
radiating glazing bars. Flat roofed open porch on 2 C20 Ionic columns.
Eastern pile of 5 bays of sash windows with glazing bars beneath skewback
arches, a central half-glazed door and a C20 conservatory to northern end.
Shaped modillion eaves cornice. Interior has a fine swept staircase with
shaped tread ends, stick balusters and a mahogany handrail. Lower treads
have been provided with C20 balusters and handrail to one side in imitation
of original due to provision of porch
