Disused wind and water mill. Circa 1820. Gault brick with flat concrete roof.
Brick waterwheel house with single pitch corrugated metal roof. Battered
circular tower with waterwheel house attached to west side. 6 storey tower
with a rebuilt timber gallery at third floor level. 4 rectangular windows
beneath segmental arches to each floor except at ground, first and third floors
where the eastern openings are doorways. Breast shot iron waterwheel driving
2 pairs of stones at first floor level, one of 2 pairs of wind driven stones
survives at fourth floor level. The timber wind driven spur wheel survives
at the third floor on a massive octagonal shaft decorated with ogee chamfer
stops. Bins and sack hoist machinery survive. Formerly on Clermont Estate.
