10/32 Miller's House


Former miller's house. Mainly early C19, retaining some elements of an earlier
building. Flint and some limestone rubble with brick dressings except for
facade which is mainly brick. Black and red pantile roof. Contemporary
continuous outshut to rear. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-bay facade of sash
windows with single vertical glazing bars. Rough skewback arches to ground
floor windows, painted wooden lintels to upper windows. Central first floor
window blind. Panelled door. Lower section of facade of flint and rubble
with brick dressings. Date 1767 scratched onto a piece of limestone rubble.
Hipped roof with plain paired brackets to eaves. Central stack. Outshut
beneath a catslide roof with a stack to each end. Included for group value
