2/25 Whitehall Farmhouse


Farmhouse. 3 builds, two of C17 one 1774. Whitewashed clunch, carstone and
flint with brick dressings, east wing whitewashed brick, rear coursed carstone
with brick dressings. Red pantiled roofs. T plan with central gable, 2
storeys. Earlier build at north-west, 2 ground and 2 first floor windows.
Gable end with blocked windows, one open brick dressed window with later hood
mould. Centre gable wing with 2 ground and 2 first floor, and one attic
window, kneelers and parapets, with north end stack. This build has date
1670 on ground floor cross beam. Build to north dated 1774 on east gable,
3 ground and 3 first floor windows. Throughout C20 metal frame casements
inserted into openings widened by presumably C18 sashes.
