Hotel. Mid to late C18. Red brick facade, carstone returns and rear, red
pantiled roof. Facade to road 2 storeys with attics, 7 bays. Straight joint
divide in brick skin attached to carstone build between 2 west and 5 east
bays. Ground floor at east single sash with glazing bars and 2 tripartite
sashes with glazing bars, and C20 flat roofed bay extension to west. First
floor 2 sashes at east, single sash in centre and 4 tripartite sashes with
glazing bars at west. All openings with flat rubbed brick cambered arches
with central painted keystone. Single tripartite dormer with canted sides,
sashes with glazing bars. 4 ridge stacks. West return forming entrance,
2 storeys with 2 3 bay canted 2 storey brick bows, to north with 3 ground
and 2 first floor sashes with glazing bars, south with 2 ground and 2 first
floor sashes with glazing bars. Centre with ground floor mid C20 glazed porch,
2 first floor sashes with glazing bars. Plastered gable with single sash
with glazing bars to north, pantiled roof with single stack to centre and
south.
