Former Rectory house. Dated 1643 on south gable. Coursed squared and rubble
carstone, red brick dressings, tiled roofs. 2 storey double pile plan. Front
pile to east with irregular C19 and C20 fenestration : ground floor with 2 2
straight headed 3-light casements and 2 arched headed casements of 2 and 3-
lights each. First floor 4 3-light casements, one large off-centre mid-C19
casement of 3-lights and 9 panes lighting the staircase. C20 door. All
openings with brick dressings, traces of blocked ground and first floor long
and low windows. South gable with mid-C19 brick quoins and 2 storey 3-sided
canted bow window with single light side lights and 3-light centre casements,
tiled roof. Stone coped gabled parapet with datestone "16 M43 H?C". North
gable with massive external stack with 3 main set offs stages, 2 mid-C19
octagonal stacks, gable with brick quoins, kneelers and stone coped parapet.
Main pile with axial cluster of mid Cl9 octagonal stacks, rear pile with
further ridge stacks.
