8/99 The White House


Pair of cottages. Late C18, c.1900 alterations. Whitewashed clunch with
brick dressings, red pantiled roof. 2 2-storey 3 bay cottages with single
storey addition to south. Cottage to north 2 ground floor and 3 first floor
flush wooden framed sashes with glazing bars. Central 4-panel c.1900 door.
Cottage to south with one ground and 3 first floor flush wooden framed sashes
with glazing bars. Central 4 panel c.1900 door. To south 2 3-light arched
headed shop windows late C19 with segmental brick relieving arches. Brick
dentil eaves cornice, one north gable and two ridge brick stacks. To south
single storey brick shop extension with c.1900 4 panel door, one 3-light shop
window, both under brick relieving arches, coped parapet and flat roof.
