Public House. First half of C17. Whitewashed carstone with brick dressings,
red pantiled roof. 2 storey, 4 window range with additional later brick range
to west, gabled wing to north. Earlier build has 2 ground and 2 first floor
3-light casements, additional first floor 2-light casements, all early C19
wooden and framed windows. Central boarded door. Off-centre at west one
C20 part glazed door, one first floor 2-light casement. Projecting brick
kneeler bracket marks joint between 2 builds, and line of earlier roof,
springing from lower level. Steeply pitched roof with one axial and one east
end stack. Lean-to, whitewashed brick with pantiled roof at east end. 2
storey whitewashed brick C20 extension at west. Gabled wing to earlier build
at rear, carstone with brick dressings. Blocked fire window on west side,
C20 end gable stack.
