5/22 Summerhouse 40m east
of Ryston Hall


Summerhouse in Greek Revival style. c.1840. Brick and timber with pantiled
roof. One storey. Plain brick sides and rear. South front of 6 timber piers
and responds with engaged Ionic demi-columns forming 7 arched loggia. Centre
3 bays broken forward under pediment upon parapet. Central arch of loggia
rises higher than remainder. Roundel studs in parapet and centre of pediment.
Hipped roof.
