TF 70 NW BARTON BENDISH
6/1 Barton Hall
House. Late C16 origin, remodelled and enlarged 1856 by James and Turner
of Norwich. Brick with slate roofs. T plan. South front 2 storeys and
dormer attic in 3 bays; central door flanked by cross casements under hood
moulds on labels. 3 cross casements to first floor. Gabled roof with 2
dormers, each with high stepped parapet on kneelers and cross casement
windows. All gable ends stepped, that to south of late C16. One renewed
timber cross casement each floor under hoods on labels. 3 groups quadruple
