West lodge to Houghton Hall. C.1830. Whitewashed plaster render, slate roof.
Single storey, rectangular on plan with 4 equilateral sides. To west, one
sash with glazing bars with arched upper sash. To south, door with trellis
work surround, pentice canopy. 4 equilateral gables have deep simplified
baseless Tuscan pediments, the base line expressed as short horizontal eaves
clasping the corners. Central stack.
