Row of 4 almshouses. C18. Whitewashed brick, black glazed pantiles. Single
storey, formerly single bay cottages now in 2 occupations. To east 2 original
centre hung casements with glazing bars, to west 2 C20 inserted plate glass
windows. 4 doors, 3 boarded, at west the C20 inserted part glazed door. 2
ridge stacks. Centre hung opening casements at rear. Appears as block plan
in Isaac Ware Plans ... Houghton (1735) 1750 ed.
