TF 83 NE SOUTH CREAKE WATERDEN

2/59 Waterden House.

Farmhouse. C.1800. Red brick, some gault brick dressings, black glazed pantiled
roof. 2 storey 6 bay front range, 2 storey services to rear. 4 ground and
5 first floor sashes with glazing bars under flat rubbed brick arches. Central
entrance has outer rubbed brick red brick framing arch, inner gault brick
arched recess with 6 panel raised and fielded door, 4 upper panels glazed,
with sun-burst arched fanlight above. Gault brick dentil eaves cornice. Coped
parapets and 2 end stacks. Return has single ground and first floor sash with
glazing bars. 2 storey service wing has single ground floor sash with glazing
bars and 2 first floor casements with glazing bars. Details identify as former
Holkham Estate architecture.
