Farmhouse, C17 renewed and enlarged c.1860. Carstone rubble, brick dressings,
roof of c.1860 of pantiles. 3 cell lobby entrance raised from 1½ to 2
storeys, lean-tos to rear raised to 2 storeys under new roof. Former axial
stack now to front of roof ridge between bays 1 and 2 with 4 shafts in Castle
Rising estate style; right gable end stack part external rising from lean-to.
Upper walls raised above brick band; ground floor with jambs from
rectangular openings, 3 flush 2-light casements renewed with segmental arches;
first floor with 3 smaller flush 2-light casements. Single storey gabled
porch across lobby entrance between bays 2 and 3 in brick with fishscale tiles
and wavy barge boards, basket arch and fanlight to porch door. Right return
rebuilt, single storey lean-to of no interest. Left return with C17 gable
end of galletted large carstone rubble with brick dressings raised to present
eaves level, ground floor with flush 3-light casement with glazing bars, first
floor with renewed flush 2-light casement both under segmental heads. Lean-
to porch c.1900 in brick and pantiles to C19 addition to left. Rear: lower
ground floor facades in two builds of former lean-tos, that to left a dairy
with low casement with glazing bars, other fenestration varied and renewed.
Interior: left-hand cell with ogee stopped chamfered beams; off-centre stack
enclosed, beams to centre and right cell enclosed.
