GV II
Farmhouse, C18, galletted coursed Sandringham sandstone with brick dressings,
slate roof. 3 bays 2 storeys and attics, continuous integral 1 1/2 storey
outshut to rear. Internal gable end stacks, that to right renewed.
Principal facade to south; dentil cornice, replica flush sashes with glazing
bars 3 x 4 panes wide to bays 1 and 3; central doorway with rectangular
fanlight, door renewed, flush sash with glazing bars 3 x 3 panes above; brick
dressings and cambered arches, remnants of earlier opening surrounds to
ground floor left in C17 brick. Left and right returns of galletted coursed
Sandringham sandstone, all windows renewed, left return outshut with openings
to ground and attic floors; right return with late C20 glazed addition,
ground floor with doorway and window, right, 1st floor with windows right
and to outshut attic, attic window to left. Rear: of broken flint, dogstooth
cornice, part glazed doorway to left; varied and renewed fenestration.
Included as the only example without additions of a building wholly in
Sandringham sandstone.
