of Dairy Farmhouse
Stables C17, remodelled c1830, shell carstone with red brick dressings,
hipped roof of black unglazed pantiles renewed. E shaped facing south.
7 bays 2 storeys, gables to forward wings of bays 1 and 7 and to 2-storeyed
projecting porch of bay 4; gault brick capping to gable and eaves parapets;
inserted axial stack beneath bays 2 and 3; 3-light casement windows with
Gothick heads and stone mullions, brick surrounds; wings of bays 1 and 7
with chamfered brick arches blocked, that to bay 7 with inserted window in
wood to match rest of facade, blank shields to gables, slit window to left
return of right hand wing. Central porch with tall brick double chamfered
4-centred arch, small rooms to left and right with slit windows to returns,
Gothick panelled door to rear, brick niche to gable. Stone niches between
bays 2 and 3, 5 and 6 to ground floor containing octagonal piers having
gargoyles below with water spouts, canted stone trough with Gothick panels
to right water spout. Central axial clock turret in wood with embattled
bell lantern above with weather vane. Rear to yard: carstone; central
doorway; blocked C17 opening to left, inserted windows, gabled
addition to right.
