CROMER PIER

II

Pier. Built 1900-1 for the Cromer Protection Commissioners, after the destruction of the old jetty in 1897. It is a short structure, on iron girders, with a small pavilion with shaped roof at the sea end and a modern [1996] lifeboat house immediately behind the pavilion. The entrance kiosks have been modernised and rebuilt and there are some small modern amusement arcades on the main promenade.
