Probably late C17. Red brick and flint with plastered east front and north end.
Steeply pitched black-glazed pantile roof with coped gable ends; 2 storeys.
First floor 3 C17/18 2-light wood mullion/transom casements with leaded panes.
Ground floor 2 late C19 3-light sashes without glazing bars. Central early C19
doorcase with moulded architrave and cornice. Rear (west) facing Bridewell Street,
ground floor flint with brick blocked openings and blocked 10-light moulded wood
mullion window. First floor brick with blocked openings with moulded brick drip
course at approximately floor level; row of terracotta tiles below probably C16
or C17 with relief Tudor Roses and lions rampant depicted on them, and smaller
terracottas between with grotesque heads and phoenix, probably imported from
another building. Interior: ground floor room with C17 moulded ceiling beams.
C18 wing to south-east: gabled; 1st floor late C19 sash and ground floor 2-light
casement with leaded panes.
C18 south wing: red brick; steep pantile roof with brick coping to gable ends;
brick dentil eaves; 2 storeys; one window.
