9/84 Quarles Farmhouse

G.V. II
Farmhouse. Late C18, possibly re-modelling of earlier house. Gault brick,
some red brick partly limewashed. Pantiled roof 'T' shaped plan with brick
and flint wing to E. Two storeys. Sash windows with glazing bars. Moulded
and dentilled brick eaves. Parapetted N gable with internal brick chimney
stack. Off-centre doorway with part-glazed 6-panel door with rectangular
fanlight. Moulded wooden door surround and canopy. Slated lean-to at SW corner
with half-glazed entrance door with decorative fanlight over, probably reset.
4 chimney stacks, 3 on ridge line, external stack on E gable.
