5/62 Garden Cottage

G.V. II

House. Late C18, probably by Samuel Wyatt. Gault brick, roofs shingled. Main
block hipped, W wing gabled. Two storeys. Sashes with glazing bars and rubbed
brick arches. Some blank openings. Plain brick band at first floor level.
Two chimney stacks on ridge line and one at W gable. S facade of three bays,
bays 1 and 3 slightly recessed. Central doorway with side lights under eliptical
rubbed brick arch and fanlight with radiating glazing bars. Central flush
panelled entrance door on N site. C20 flat-roofed dormer in W wing.
