The description shall be amended to read:

Detached entrance lodge to Stiffkey Old Hall. 1604 or earlier. Dated 1604, with
arms of Sir Nathaniel Bacon, in the year of his knighthood. Brick, stone
dressings. Pedimented arched central carriage entrance, now filled in, flanked
by semi-octagonal buttresses. Similar mixture of gothic and classical details to
rear. Incomplete above ground floor string course, with temporary roof and doors.
