The description shall be amended to read:
Garden walls and terraces. Late C16. Flint and brick. On axis with hall range
of Stiffkey Old Hall. To N forms churchyard wall. Three sides of ruined gazebo
at E. Second wall forms retaining terrace wall to this level. A third parallel
wall in the garden fulfills a similar function. The arrangement of the walls and
terraces and the axis with the hall suggests an intended formal garden by the
builder, Sir Nathaniel Bacon, who began the Hall in 1576. Included for group
value only.
