19/189 Whey Curd Farmhouse

II

Farmhouse. Early C19 and later. Datestone 1829. Walls roughcast, gault brick
dressings. Roof smut pantiles. 'T' plan, 1829 rear, c1880 front. Rear wing
2 storeys, 3 bays. Brick plinth, pilasters with dentil capitals. Two ground floor,
3 first floor casement windows, ground floor under segmental rubbed brick arches.
Part glazed door, panelled reveals. Simplified brick modillion cornice, coped,
parapetted end gables, off-centre and end gable stacks, crested ridge tiles.
c1880 range to W (facade), 3 bays, 2 storeys, with ground floor verandah over bay
windows, wood, tiled roof. Two storeys, one bay wing to N.
