Home Farmhouse


Farmhouse. Late C18 front pile of red brick with black pantiled roof, C17 rere pile
of flint with brick dressings and pantiled roof. Two storey 5 bay facade with
4 ground and 5 first floor sash windows with single glazing bar under rubbed brick
arches. Wooden door-case with pilasters, console brackets and baseless pediment with
fanlight. Panelled reveals and soffit, 4 panel late C19 door. C18 insurance plaque
over door. Lead rainwater head with date in 1780s gives terminus date for this
facade. Garden front with 2 ground and 3 first floor C19 casements, door with
fanlight. One and half storey flint and brick pantiled service wing at rear.
